So what is it?
A Raspberry Pi 5 with a 2TB external drive plugged in.
It is the NAS for my house, which is a fancy word for a shared hard drive that lives on the network.
What does it actually do?
Samba shares give me a shared drive, a Time Machine backup for my Mac (500GB, every night at 3am) and a place for my iPhone backups.
n8n runs on it too, so my automations live here, like the evening planning message I get on WhatsApp.
How do you reach it when you're out?
Over Tailscale, so I can get to it from anywhere without opening my router to the internet.
